The building was originally constructed in 1962 as the Engineering Building of the Douglas Aircraft Company's Missile & Space Systems Division — a serious work of mid-century industrial Modernism with a distinguished architectural lineage.
Today, the structure has been carefully restored to serve as the home of Khan House. Its scale, light, and clean horizontal lines lend themselves naturally to the measured rhythm of a private Club: spaces for member discussion, cultural gatherings, and the occasional ceremonial observance.
The facility is operated as a private members' Club. It is not available for public rental or non-member events.
